Curriculum vitae[ > English text ] Jan A. de Boer werd sterrenkunde amateur in zijn
HBS-tijd en studeerde in 1971 af in de sterrenkunde aan de
Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. Volgde Kort Hoger Onderwijs Informatica
bij de Open Universiteit. Was geregeld werkstudent voor operateurswerk
voor de 25 m-radiotelescoop, Dwingeloo. Was betrokken bij radiosterrenkundig
onderzoek met de Dwingeloo Telescoop en Westerbork Synthese Radiotelescoop, gaf het college Het Evoluerend
Heelal voor alfa's en gamma's.
Werkte bij de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen als beheerder van het Kapteyn
Astronomisch Instituut en van de Subfaculteit Natuurkunde, en als
stafmedewerker informatievoorziening van de Faculteit der Wiskunde en
Natuurwetenschappen. Gepensioneerd 2006. Ontving de Academieplaquette van de
Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. Na pensioen vrijwilliger bij het Kapteyn
Astronomisch Instituut voor inleidende cursussen sterrenkunde en voor de
Blaauw sterrenwacht. English CV:Jan A. de Boer became an amateur astronomer in his high
school years and graduated in astronomy at the University of Groningen
in 1971. Followed courses computer science at the Open University of the Netherlands. Was a
regular work student for the operations of the 25 m radio telescope at
Dwingeloo. Was involved in radio astronomical research with Dwingeloo Telescope
and Westerbork Synthesis Radio Telescope, taught The Evolving Universe for non science majors. Worked at the University of
Groningen as administrator of the Kapteyn Astronomical Institute and of
the Subfaculty of Physics, and as management information specialist of
the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. Retired 2006. Was awarded
the Academy Plaque of the University of Groningen. After retirement volunteer
of the Kapteyn Astronomical Institute for introductory courses astronomy
and for the
Blaauw observatory. |
